Is it permissible for a wife who is breastfeeding her ten-month-old son to break her fast in Ramadan?

For pregnant and breastfeeding women, there are two situations: The first is that fasting does not affect them, in which case they must fast. The second is that they fear for themselves or their child, in which case they are permitted to break their fast and must make up for it later (qada'). In this situation, it is preferable for them to break their fast, and it may become obligatory if they fear for the child. If they break their fast due to an excuse, they must make up for it. Some scholars have added the feeding of a poor person (it'am) along with making up the fast if the fear was for the child, while others believe that making up the fast alone is sufficient.
