Why does God not punish the oppressors who harm people by dealing with sorcerers, even though they live stable and happy lives?

Allah possesses ultimate wisdom in His actions, and one must submit to Him because there is no repelling His decree. Allah may bestow His blessings upon a servant even while the servant persists in disobedience, as a means of gradual enticement (istidraj), and perhaps He will then suddenly destroy him, as Allah Almighty says: "So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the gates of every [good] thing until, when they rejoced in that which they had been given, We seized them unexpectedly, and suddenly they were in despair." And He may delay punishment for him to intensify the torment in the Hereafter. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If Allah intends good for His servant, He hastens the punishment for him in this world. And if Allah intends evil for His servant, He withholds from him [the punishment for] his sin until he fully meets it on the Day of Resurrection."
