Does wiping over the two leather socks become invalidated if a part of it is removed such that what must be washed of the foot becomes exposed, and is it permissible to wear and wipe over it thereafter?
If a person removes a part of the Khuff (leather sock) and what must be washed of the foot becomes visible, the wiping (masah) becomes invalidated. He is not permitted to pray except after performing a complete purification and washing his feet, according to many scholars, as is the Madhhab of the Shafi’is. So, if the covering, which was made a substitute for washing the feet, is removed, the ruling of purification becomes void.
