Do the following activities (distributing food parcels and blankets, delivering water, building roofs, preparing brides, delivering medical aid) fall under the eight categories of Zakat expenditure when Zakat funds are given to a trustworthy charity that carries out these activities? And is paying Zakat in this manner considered a disbursement of money as required by Sharia, or is it not obligatory to disburse Zakat money in the form of money?

Zakat on money is to be given in cash, and it is not permissible to give it as goods or in-kind materials. The zakat amount must be handed over to those who are eligible, as they are most aware of their needs. It is not permissible to convert the zakat amount into in-kind food or other materials, unless the poor person authorizes the zakat payer to purchase his necessities with the zakat. However, if the poor person is unable to manage money, or is insane or imprudent, some scholars permit giving him zakat in-kind. The best method in this situation is for the zakat payer to obtain authorization from the poor to purchase the items they need.
