Are the hadiths concerning Al-Yamani, Al-Abqa', Al-As'hab, and Al-A'raj authentic, and do they precede the advent of the Mahdi, and do they apply to individuals in this era?

There is no mention of the Yamani, the Abqa', the As'hab, or the A'raj in the authentic or weak hadiths of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Rather, they are mentioned in some narrations (athar) from the Companions and their successors. All of these narrations are unsound, as they come from Ali ibn Abi Talib, Ammar ibn Yasir, and Dhu Qaranat al-Himyari, but their chains of transmission (asanid) are very weak and suffer from multiple defects, such as the presence of unknown narrators, weak narrators, narrators accused of lying, or those who practiced tadlis (deceptive narration). Furthermore, there are narrations from some of the Successors, such as Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah, Ka'b al-Ahbar, Abu Ja'far al-Sadiq, and Artah ibn al-Mundhir, but their chains of transmission are also weak and unproven.

Moreover, it is impermissible to apply these narrations, even if they were sound, to specific events or individuals at any time. Such applications have caused discord and confusion among people, and Islam is innocent of speaking about Allah without knowledge. The advice lies in occupying oneself with what is obligatory and acting upon what is established in the religion.
