Is it permissible to supplicate with: "O Allah, deal with us with Your mercy and do not deal with us with Your justice"?

The more appropriate approach for the supplicant is to limit the supplication to its first part, which is: "O Allah, treat us with Your pardon and grace," and to omit the phrase: "O Allah, do not treat us with Your justice," because there is no need for it. If Allah Almighty were to treat people with His justice, He would destroy them all, as He Almighty said: {And if Allah were to punish the people for what they earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature.} It can also be said: "O Allah, treat us with Your grace and do not treat us with the evil of our deeds."
