What is the ruling on saying: "May Allah not make you lawful [to Him]," and "May Allah burn your heart"? And will such a supplication be answered and harm the one invoked against? And what is the ruling on supplicating with: "May Allah grant me better than them"?

It is permissible for a Muslim to supplicate against his Muslim brother if he has been wronged, and the supplication of the oppressed is answered if the conditions are met and there are no impediments, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Three supplications are answered without a doubt: the supplication of the parent, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the oppressed." However, if he supplicates against someone other than his oppressor, his supplication will not be answered, based on his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "The supplication of a servant continues to be answered as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or for the severance of kinship ties."
