Is a supplication answered if it begins with "May you be" (جعلك), knowing that its utterer is a person of many sins and transgressions, such as saying, "May you and your family be in an accident, and may they all die except for you"?

It is forbidden for a Muslim to supplicate against his Muslim brother unjustly. However, it is permissible for the oppressed to supplicate against the oppressor to the extent of the injustice, without exceeding it. If the oppressed person shows patience and forgives, it is better for him. It is not permissible for the oppressed to transgress in supplicating against the oppressor's family, as they are not held accountable for his sin. A Muslim supplicating for the destruction of his Muslim brother or his family is a forbidden transgression. Supplication for destruction is reserved for warring disbelievers or for a corrupt Muslim whose evil cannot be curbed except through his destruction. The supplication of the oppressed is answered, even if he is disobedient. The mere use of the phrase "May Allah make you..." does not guarantee the supplication's answer, especially if it involves transgression or injustice.
