What is the ruling of Islamic law on not taking the dowry and waiving it before the judge, knowing that the husband said it is a trust with him until the Day of Judgment? And is this considered a sin, and what is the religious ruling regarding this man?

Allah ordained marriage to achieve tranquility and stability, and this is realized when both spouses know their rights and duties. The Divine Law commanded good treatment of the wife. What the husband did by abusing her is not permissible in Islam. As for the questioner's statement to the judge that she had received the dowry, which is contrary to reality, it is a lie from which she must repent. The dowry is fully due to the wife as long as the divorce occurred after consummation, and the judicial ruling stating that the dowry was received does not waive it as a religious obligation upon the husband.
