How is the inheritance divided among: the husband, the daughter, four full brothers, and two full sisters?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If the heirs are limited to the husband, the daughter, and full siblings, then the husband receives one-fourth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, and the daughter receives one-half, as Allah Almighty says: "And if there is only one, she will have half." The remainder is to be divided among the full siblings, with the male receiving the share of two females, as Allah Almighty says: "And if they are brothers and sisters, male and female, then for the male will be the share of two females." The estate is divided into forty shares: the husband receives ten, the daughter twenty, each full brother receives two shares, and each full sister receives one share. It is advisable to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure that there are no other heirs, wills, or debts that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
