How can a Muslim woman strive to love for her sister what she loves for herself, while she desires to be the best?

The perfection of faith necessitates that a Muslim loves for his brother what he loves for himself in terms of good, and dislikes for him what he dislikes for himself. This requires the soundness of the heart from envy and malice. This rank is attained through striving against the self and seeking Allah's help, for morals are acquired through habituation and practice. The intent of the Hadith is that one should love for his brother acts of obedience and permissible things that are ample for everyone and do not cause rivalry. However, in cases of rivalry, there is no impediment to competition and racing for good deeds and noble aspirations, while maintaining a sound heart and loving good for others. Indeed, competition should be for the ranks of the Hereafter and closeness to Allah.
