Is it permissible to seek blessings from water in which a hair attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has been placed, with the intention of healing and seeking blessings?

The scholars have agreed on the permissibility of seeking blessings from the relics of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, such as his hair and sweat, due to the hadiths that indicate his actions and his companions' seeking blessings from his relics, which points to the blessings of his being and whatever separated from it.

However, the claim today of the existence of the Prophet's hair or his relics is a claim not supported by evidence, and most of what is said in this regard is deception and superstition, as Sheikh Al-Albani confirmed that the Prophet's relics have been lost.

Therefore, it is not permissible to seek blessings from water that is claimed to contain the Prophet's hair, because there is no way to prove that. One must beware of charlatans and promoters of innovations, and knowledge should be acquired from those known for their adherence to the Sunnah.
