Supplication is not considered an addition to the prayer nor backbiting of the person being supplicated for. It is permissible to mention the name of the person being supplicated for, but it is preferable to generalize the supplication, such as "my brothers and sisters," to avoid the dispute of those who deem it impermissible to specify individuals in supplication during prayer.
