Is it permissible to supplicate for worldly matters or with the prescribed supplications during prostration in the obligatory prayer?

Supplicating for oneself and for loved ones during prostration (sujud) in obligatory or supererogatory prayers is a recommended act, because prostration is one of the positions where supplication is answered. This is based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The closest a servant is to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so increase your supplications." It is best to supplicate with reported (ma'thur) prayers, but it is permissible to supplicate with other prayers that one likes, based on the Prophet's saying: "Then let him choose whatever supplication he likes best," and his saying: "Then let him choose whatever he wishes and likes from the supplication," as long as he does not supplicate for something unlawful, or for severing ties of kinship, or transgress in his supplication.
