Is he who contributed a portion of the blood money for the manumission of a slave considered like one who manumitted a slave and thus receives its reward?

Freeing a slave (manumission) is among the righteous deeds. He who frees a Muslim slave will be freed by Allah from the Fire. He who assists a mujahid (fighter in the cause of Allah), a gharim (definition) (one in debt), or a mukātab (a slave who has contracted with his master to buy his freedom), Allah will shade him in His shade. The mukātab is a slave who pays the price for his freedom. Whoever helps in freeing a slave will receive a reward commensurate with his assistance, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety." He who intends to free a slave but is unable to complete it, yet contributes what he can, is hoped to receive the full reward of manumission. Contributing to the payment of blood money (diyah) is a charitable act, but it is not like the reward of freeing a slave, as each has a different merit.
