Is it permissible to donate money for the manumission of a slave while experiencing financial hardship and lacking sufficient funds for basic necessities?

A wife's donation of her husband's money without his knowledge is impermissible. Assisting Muslims and freeing captives are among the best forms of charity. The husband's right takes precedence over that of the parents. It is not permissible for a wife to reclaim what she has given to her husband from her own private money. Charity increases provision and Allah blesses it, but the priority in spending should be for the wife's family and children. It is not advisable to inform one's family about the details of marital life.
