Is it permissible to move a cat passing by during prayer, or should it be left alone?

If a cat or other creature passes behind the sutra, do not interfere with it, as the sutra is present. If it passes between you and the sutra, or close to you when there is no sutra, and you are not in the standing position (qiyam), then push it away as much as you can. If it returns and you cannot prevent it, your prayer is valid. If it passes in front of you while you are standing and you can push it away with your feet, then do so. Be careful not to bend down to it, lest your prayer be invalidated.
