Is it permissible for a girl to wear the hijab secretly without her parents' knowledge, or to wear a cap instead of the hijab to ward off evils and avoid family disintegration, given that her parents definitively refuse her wearing the hijab?

Allah has enjoined kindness and good treatment to parents, even if they are non-Muslims, accompanying them in kindness without obeying them in polytheism. The right to good treatment does not fall, even if parents mistreat their child. However, the right of Allah is greater than the right of parents. The hijab is an obligation upon a Muslim woman by the consensus of jurists, excluding the face and hands. It is not permissible to obey parents in removing the hijab unless there is an unbearable harm.

It is advisable to seek assistance from people of goodness and knowledge to counsel the parents on the necessity of protecting their children from corruption, for children are trusts with their parents.

If the matter reaches a level of necessity that permits the forbidden, such as perishment, then it is permissible at that point to remove the hijab; otherwise, the ruling remains on its original prohibition. It is necessary to be patient in the face of harm for the sake of religion, and to emulate the prophets and the righteous.
