What is the interpretation of the Hadith: "If a man were to be dragged on his face from the day he was born until the day he dies of old age, in the pursuit of Allah's pleasure, he would deem it insignificant on the Day of Resurrection"?

The hadith was narrated by Ahmad, Bukhari, and Al-Tabarani from Utbah ibn Abd Al-Sulami, and was graded as hasan (good) by Al-Suyuti and Al-Albani. Its meaning—as Al-Manawi stated—is due to what one sees and clearly observes of the immensity of His bounty and the brilliance of His giving.
