How authentic is the Hadith: "No young man has ever honored an old man for his age but Allah destined for him one who would honor him in his old age"?

This Hadith is very weak and not authentic, as its chain of narration contains two defects: Abu al-Rahhal Khalid ibn Muhammad, who is a Munkar al-Hadith (one whose narrations are rejected), and Yazid ibn Bayan, who is very weak. The Hadith was weakened by Imam al-Sakhawi and Shaykh al-Albani. What suffices in place of this Hadith is what was narrated by Imam al-Tirmidhi and authenticated by al-Albani: «He is not of us who does not show mercy to our young ones and does not revere our old ones.»
