How can one atone for the sin of begging without need and for guiding others to it, while they continue their begging?

If someone gives you money, thinking you are in need, but you are not, then it is not permissible for you to accept it. If you do take possession of it, you do not own it, and you must return it to its giver. If returning it is not possible, then give it away as charity on their behalf. If you were poor at that time, then you may take from it what suffices your needs and the needs of your family, just like other poor people. As for those whom you have guided to this reprehensible method, it is obligatory for you to advise them, enjoin them to do good, and forbid them from doing evil.
