How should one deal, according to Islamic law, with children who neglect their prayers, listen to music, are disrespectful towards others, and have gone so far as to curse Allah, while there is apprehension about taking action regarding the television and radio?

The blame falls upon the parents for the corruption of their children, especially with the acknowledgment of excessive pampering, which leads to unavailing regret. Repentance to Allah is obligatory for neglecting the upbringing of children, as they are trusts entrusted by Allah. It is imperative to teach them, discipline them, and protect them from corrupting influences, in accordance with His, the Almighty's, sayings: "Allah instructs you concerning your children" and "Protect yourselves and your families from a Fire."

As for insulting Allah Almighty, it is an act of disbelief (kufr) that must not be tolerated. They must be advised and taught the ruling on insulting and that it is an act of disbelief. Assistance should be sought from scholars and Da'wah practitioners, as the company of righteous people has a profound impact. If the one who insults persists in his action, then disavowal from him is obligatory. If the parents fear for themselves from their aggression when preventing them from instruments of disobedience, then disapproval by tongue and heart is sufficient, along with shunning them and showing hatred towards them.

It is necessary to frequently supplicate for their guidance and success in repentance, along with repentance and seeking forgiveness, and striving for lawful earnings. For such tragedies often result from straying from Allah's methodology and violating His sacred limits.
