Is a girl's request to annul her marriage contract, due to a lack of affection and love towards the suitor, while her father objects, considered unlawful (haram)?

An ideal marital life is based on love, but its continuation is not impossible without it, as there are other factors that support its permanence, including the spouses' kindness to each other and kindness to their children. Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, clarified that homes are not built on love alone, but rather on care, responsibility, and good companionship, for marriage is not tied to fleeting emotions. If the continuation of the marital relationship becomes impossible or causes hardship, a woman has the right to seek divorce or annulment (khul).
