Is it permissible for a married woman who does not love her husband, but fulfills all his rights, and loves another man without any forbidden relations between them, to supplicate to Allah by saying: "O Allah, You have bestowed upon me great blessings, and I did not intentionally deny them, nor did I intentionally disobey You, so forgive my sin… O Allah, You are the One who places love in hearts… and You know the extent of my love for this person. O Allah, if my union with him is good for me in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and the outcome of my affairs, then unite me with him in a permissible way, sooner rather than later. And if my union with him is evil for me in my religion, my worldly life, and the outcome of my affairs, then distance him from me, remove his love from my heart, and compensate me with the best compensation"? And is this supplication considered an transgression in supplication or a supplication for an impossible matter?
Praying for the termination of a marriage with the current husband due to blameworthy infatuation is an aggression in supplication, because it is a wish for divorce, khul‘ (dissolution of marriage initiated by the wife), or death for an unlawful reason.
