Does the divorce take effect after childbirth, or has it taken effect immediately, given that the husband said to his wife: "After you give birth, you are divorced"?

Divorce occurs the moment the wife gives birth, because the husband's statement "If you give birth, then you are divorced" is a conditional divorce based on a future event. This makes it a binding divorce that takes effect upon the fulfillment of the condition. The spouses are advised to fear Allah and not allow Satan to corrupt their marital life, as separating spouses is one of his greatest goals. One must also be careful not to rush into uttering divorce pronouncements, as their consequence may be regret.
