Is a father's shunning of his son after anger, by not speaking to him or looking at him, considered forbidden (haram)?

The rights of parents are great, and being dutiful to them is the most incumbent of duties, while disobeying them is among the greatest major sins. One must be dutiful to the father and treat him with kindness, and beware of angering him, for "The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the father, and the displeasure of the Lord is in the displeasure of the father." One must obey him in what is good, and address him with politeness, gentleness, respect, and humility. If the father is not pleased without a valid reason, after you have fulfilled his rights to the best of your ability, then his anger will not harm you, and you must continue to be dutiful to him and treat him with kindness. It is not permissible for him to abandon you for more than three days except for a valid reason. You must strive to appease him and be keen on being dutiful to him.
