What is the ruling on using the recitation of the Holy Qur'an on satellite channels to advertise alternative medicine or sell cars, while displaying inappropriate pictures or drawings and indecent writings on the screen?

There is no harm in reciting the Qur’an on a channel whose content is predominantly permissible, as long as it is not during the display of forbidden things; for that is a form of degradation, and the Qur’an must be glorified and protected. The one who does that does not commit an act of disbelief unless he intends to belittle the Qur’an. He may not even be sinful if his intention was good and it did not occur to him that there was some form of degradation in it. It is obligatory to denounce whoever displays forbidden things or recites the Qur’an while they are being displayed.
