What is the ruling on working as a nurse, taking into consideration the frequent direct interaction with women (patients or otherwise) and exposure to their bodies for treatment purposes?

Mixing and touching between men and women is impermissible in principle. However, it is permissible in medicine for the purpose of learning and practice, provided that there is no practitioner of the same sex, and only to the extent dictated by need or necessity.
