Is masturbation completely forbidden, or is it merely disliked for a divorced man or woman?

Masturbation is forbidden for both virgins and divorcees, because its perpetrator seeks what Allah has not made lawful and does not guard their private parts. Allah Almighty says: "And those who guard their private parts, Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors." A Muslim must fortify themselves and guard their private parts, and marry if able. Otherwise, they must fast, occupy themselves with what is beneficial, and stay away from arousal-inducing things.
