Did a Jew serve the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him?

It is authentically reported in Sahih al-Bukhari that a Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He fell ill, so the Prophet visited him and offered him Islam. The boy embraced Islam after his father's approval. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned that the boy's name is unknown, and what some exegetes transmitted, that he participated in charming the Prophet, is not authentic. This story indicates the Prophet's tolerance, mercy, and his call to goodness.
