Did Wahshi, the killer of Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him), embrace Islam, and is it permissible for us to say "may Allah be pleased with him" about him after his conversion to Islam?

Wahshi ibn Harb al-Habashi was a great Companion. He killed Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) before embracing Islam, then he became Muslim and his Islam became excellent. A Companion is one who met the Prophet (peace be upon him) as a believer in him and died upon that. Islam wipes away what came before it, and repentance removes previous sins. The Prophet (peace be upon him) affirmed this. What indicates the sincerity of his Islam is that he participated in killing Musaylamah the Liar. Therefore, the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (Sunnis) are pleased with Wahshi just as they are pleased with all the other Companions.
