Is it true that the Messenger of Allah, Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, turned away from Wahshi when he wanted to embrace Islam, because he had killed Hamza, may Allah be pleased with him, and mutilated his body?

The story of Hamza's killing, may Allah be pleased with him, and what Hind, may Allah be pleased with her, did, is documented in the books of seerah (prophetic biography). Wahshi concealed his face from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, after his conversion to Islam, at the Prophet's request, as it is stated in Al-Bukhari that the Messenger asked Wahshi: "Did you kill Hamza?" And when he replied, he asked him, "Can you conceal your face from me?" After the death of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, Wahshi went out to fight Musaylamah the Liar to atone for killing Hamza.
