How authentic is the Hadith: "Glad tidings to Sham! Indeed, the angels of the Most Merciful spread their wings over it"?

This Hadith is authentic, narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Ahmad, and authenticated by Al-Albani. It indicates the virtue of Al-Sham (the Levant). In the Hadith: "Glad tidings (Tuba) for Al-Sham." Ibn Al-Atheer explained "Tuba" as being derived from "tayyib" (good/pleasant), not from "Jannah" (Paradise) or "Shajarah" (tree). Al-Mubarakpuri explained that "Tuba for Al-Sham" means comfort and pleasant living for its people. When the Messenger of Allah was asked about the reason for this, he said: "Because the angels of the Most Merciful spread their wings over it," meaning they encompass and protect it, preserving it from disbelief, bringing down blessings, and warding off calamities and harms.
