Being open to the era means participating in good deeds and inviting to Allah, not participating in what contravenes ethics and manners, such as shaving the beard and the mixing of women with men. Shaving the beard is clearly forbidden, and the mixing of men with women is a cause of fitna (tribulation), for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I have not left behind me any fitna more harmful to men than women," and he said: "Beware of the world and beware of women, for the first fitna of the Children of Israel was concerning women." This group should fear Allah and abandon this type of openness that corrupts religion, and they should let their beards grow and avoid mixing with women.
