What is the ruling regarding a wife's silence concerning her husband's deviant actions and his viewing of pornographic films with content related to the people of Lut, especially since he has abandoned her in bed, and she has no means to confront him? Is she sinful for her silence?
What the husband does by acquiring these tapes is an ugly habit and a bad deed that exposes him to great danger and tremendous sin, and he must repent to God.
As for the wife, she must strive to reform her husband's situation as long as he maintains his obligatory duties. This is done by beautifying herself for him and attracting his attention, and by informing the mosque preacher, without mentioning her husband's name, to address these topics in his sermons. There is no sin upon her for remaining silent if disclosing it would lead to a greater harm.
Furthermore, residing in lands of disbelief is a cause for such problems, and it is obligatory upon you to leave them and return to the lands of the Muslims.
