Is donating a fixed amount on a specific day each week, without believing it to be Sunnah or obligatory, considered an innovation (bid‘ah)?

Allocating a specific act of worship to a particular time or place due to an urgent circumstance, without believing in any special virtue for that time or place, is not considered an innovation (bid'ah), as long as there is no intention of introducing something new into the religion. Juridical innovation (bid'ah shari'ah) has three conditions: introducing something new, attributing it to the religion, and it not being based on a legitimate religious source. Therefore, habitually performing a specific act of worship at a certain time or place due to convenient circumstances, without believing it is obligatory or has an added virtue, is permissible.
