Is it permissible to give a perpetual charity on behalf of a deceased person whose end was bad, such as his refusal to pray and the issuance of insults from him while on his deathbed, and to count the reward for him? And is it permissible to perform Umrah and Hajj on his behalf?

So long as the deceased died upon Islam and did not commit any act that nullifies it, then Allah’s pardon and mercy are hoped for him. One should seek forgiveness for him and supplicate for him with mercy, and he should be treated like all other deceased Muslims. Therefore, it is permissible to dedicate the reward of good deeds to him, and that will benefit him. And if his delirium was due to the severity of illness or loss of consciousness, then he is excused and is not described as having a bad ending.
