What is the solution for a person who knows the punishment for sins, especially abandoning prayer, but does not possess the will to stop committing them and fears the devil's control over him?

Persisting in sins leads to their normalization and the disappearance of their effect from the heart, which may result in a bad end. One must beware of Allah's wrath and punishment, and remember death and its terrors, for repentance may be denied when the term suddenly arrives. The pleasure of sins is fleeting, but their consequences are grave. The door of repentance is open to whoever hastens with sincere repentance, seeks help from Allah Almighty, associates with the righteous and abandons the wicked, attends gatherings of knowledge and remembrance, and strives sincerely against their self, for Allah guarantees guidance to those who strive for His sake.
