What is the ruling on someone who, at the end of his argument, says, "As for me, those are disbelievers," referring to Saudi scholars or all of its people, while he himself is an innovator in acts of worship and gathers people around him for them? Is it permissible to pray behind him, and is it permissible to warn against him?

The seriousness of excommunicating Muslims and the issue of praying behind innovators have been detailed in previous fatwas.

One must strive diligently to learn and teach the truth, paying careful attention to the evidence and asking Allah for guidance. It is legislated to warn against people of misguidance by clarifying the invalidity of their statements with wisdom and calmness, without alienating people from congregational prayer or creating problems with imams.

If it is possible to find a mosque led by a scholar from the People of the Sunnah, it is obligatory to make it flourish with well-established scientific lessons and to invite people to attend them so that they are attracted to it and become self-sufficient through it, dispensing with others.
