Is it permissible not to pay Zakat and Sadaqa unless it is with the intention of increasing and blessing one's wealth?

There is no harm in seeking worldly gains through worship, for Allah Almighty has encouraged people to do so, as in Noah's saying to his people: "And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [abundance]'" (Quran 71:10-11), and the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Charity does not decrease wealth," and "Whoever wishes that his lifespan be extended and his sustenance be broadened, let him maintain ties of kinship." However, whoever intends the Hereafter will attain both this world and the Hereafter, as in Allah Almighty's saying: "Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest" (Quran 42:20). But to restrict one's intention in worship solely to worldly benefits is considered a deficiency in intention and is caused by the glorification of this world.
