Is it possible for you to give us a brief overview of Jesus, peace be upon him?
Mary, the daughter of Imran, was a righteous woman who strove diligently in worship. The angels brought her glad tidings of Allah's choosing her and of a son whom Allah would create with the word "Be, and it is." This son was the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, eminent in this world and the Hereafter, and a messenger to the Children of Israel. Allah created him from a mother without a father, demonstrating His absolute power to create.
The Qur'an details the birth of Jesus. Gabriel appeared to her in the form of a human, and she feared him. Then he informed her that he was the messenger of her Lord to bestow upon her a pure boy. So, she conceived him and withdrew with him to a remote place. At the time of birth, Allah provided her with water and food and commanded her not to speak to anyone.
When Mary came to her people carrying Jesus, they denounced it. She then pointed to him for them to question him. Jesus spoke in the cradle, declaring that he was a servant of Allah, that Allah had given him the Scripture and made him a prophet, and enjoined upon him prayer, zakat, and kindness to his mother.
The People of the Book differed concerning Jesus. Some said he was the son of Allah, some said he was the third of three, and others said he was Allah. The truth is that he is a servant and messenger of Allah. Allah sent Jesus as a guide to the Children of Israel when they deviated, and He sent down the Gospel upon him as a guide and a light, and he gave glad tidings of the coming of Muhammad, peace be upon him, after him.
Jesus called the Children of Israel to worship Allah alone and was supported by great miracles. The Jews attempted to kill and crucify him, but Allah saved him and raised him to Himself. He will descend before the Day of Judgment as a just ruler.
Jesus is a servant and messenger of Allah, not the son of Allah or the third of three. Whoever believes this has committed disbelief. The Jews and Christians distorted the religion of Christ, but Allah will question Jesus on the Day of Judgment about what he told his people. Allah placed compassion and mercy in the followers of Jesus and the believers. Jesus is the last of the prophets of the Children of Israel before the prophethood of Muhammad, peace be upon him.
