What is the ruling on visiting relatives and neighbors on Eid and greeting women and congratulating them with handshakes and embraces?

Maintaining kinship ties and visiting family, relatives, neighbors, and the righteous are commendable acts of obedience, especially during Eids, as they increase joy and happiness. However, this must be governed by Sharia regulations. It is not permissible to shake hands with a non-mahram woman, even if she is a relative or neighbor; it suffices to offer greetings of peace when there is no fear of temptation. As for embracing, there is no objection to it between men and their mahram relatives if there is no fear of temptation, especially after a long separation.
