Is it permissible to take a gold ring from one's sister and sell it, with the intention of paying its price back later, due to a need for money and the unavailability of sufficient expenses?

The financial support (nafqa) of an unmarried daughter or one who has no wealth is obligatory upon her father until she marries. This includes food, drink, clothing, and housing according to what is customary and the father's financial capacity. It is not permissible to take money from a sister without her knowledge and consent, as this is oppression and consuming wealth unjustly. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not lawful for a person to take anything from his brother's property except with his full consent." If the ring was taken without the sister's knowledge, it is forbidden. However, if it was with her knowledge and consent, there is no harm. The one in need should be patient and ask Allah for His bounty, knowing that Allah will reward the patient without reckoning, and that piety is a cause for all good and provision from whence one does not expect.
