Which Surah was the noble verse, "Until the camel passes through the eye of a needle," revealed in, and what is its meaning and the reason for its revelation?

There is no specific occasion of revelation for verse 40 of Surat Al-A'raf: "Indeed, those who denied Our verses and were arrogant toward them - the gates of the heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals."

As for its meaning, according to Al-Tabari, it signifies that those who denied God's proofs and were arrogant about believing them, the gates of heaven will not be opened for their souls after their death, nor will any righteous deed or supplication ascend for them during their lives due to the wickedness of their deeds. As for Allah's saying: "nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle," its meaning is that they will never enter Paradise, just as it is impossible for a camel (the well-known camel, or the thick ship's rope) to pass through the narrow eye of a needle.
