Is moderate commitment better than the formal commitment prevalent in some countries?

Islam is a comprehensive and integrated religion. It is not permissible to worship by some of its rulings while abandoning others, such as contenting oneself with modest clothing while engaging in practices not sanctioned by Islamic law, or neglecting modesty and loosening one's attire. Allah has condemned those who believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part, and the recompense for those who do so is disgrace in this world and in the Hereafter.
