How is the Islamic religion a middle ground between rigidity and laxity?

Moderation is the best option, and Islam is a moderate religion in all its teachings and its view of the universe and life. It suits human nature and fulfills its material and spiritual needs without excess or loss. The moderation of Islam is evident in the realm of beliefs by its imposition of the Oneness of Allah and faith in the unseen, and this aligns with rational logic and sound human nature. Allah Almighty said: "And thus We have made you a moderate community so that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you."

In contrast, other religions are man-made and prioritize one aspect over another. Islam is the final religion from Allah, who undertook to preserve His Book from alteration, so that it remains a standing proof against all people. Allah Almighty said: "Lest people should have any argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise."
