Does engaging in homosexual sexual practices online, without direct physical contact, constitute an entry into "liwat" (sodomy) which prevents entry into Paradise?

The action mentioned is a prelude to sodomy, and Allah has forbidden indecencies, both apparent and hidden. What is forbidden is not only fornication of the private parts, but there is also fornication of the hand (forbidden touch), fornication of the eye (forbidden gaze), and fornication of the tongue (forbidden speech). Allah has decreed for the son of Adam his share of fornication; the fornication of the eye is gazing, the fornication of the tongue is speaking, and the self wishes and desires, and the private parts either confirm or deny all of that. Gazing and speaking are called fornication because they invite to actual fornication. What is said about fornication also applies to sodomy, as both are vile; indeed, sodomy is more heinous and repulsive. The sinner should not be deceived into thinking that he will not commit the indecency, for these are the steps of Satan. Therefore, the questioner must offer sincere repentance, feel remorse, and abandon this disobedience. Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" And "All the children of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent." He must also increase good deeds, for they are expiations for sins. Allah Almighty says: "And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and during periods of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds." And "Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave with good character towards the people."
