The son who dies before his mother has no share of her estate, and similarly, his children do not inherit from their grandmother due to the existence of their direct uncle. The daughter who dies before her mother has no share, and her children are not among the heirs at all.

However, the daughter who dies after her mother has a share in the inheritance, and her share passes to her heirs.

If a woman dies and leaves only a son and three daughters, the estate is divided among them by ta'sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females. The share of the daughter who died after her mother is divided among her heirs.
