Must one wash clothes if they have been soiled by another person's nasal discharge?

Nasal secretions are pure (tahir) and not impure (najis), and it is not obligatory to wash whatever they touch of the body or clothes, though it is preferable to wash them for cleanliness. Evidence for their purity is found in the statement of Ibn Abbas concerning semen: "It is but like mucus and saliva," which indicates that the purity of these secretions was a well-established principle among them.
