What is the religious ruling regarding a wife who relays news about her husband's siblings to their parents, truthfully or falsely, which has led to the parents' anger and the severing of kinship ties among the children? And are the mother who requests such news and considers it normal, and the son who is aware of this and sees no sin in it, considered sinful?

The matter of kinship is grave, and Allah has commanded its maintenance and forbidden its severance. It is obligatory to exert effort in achieving this and to remind everyone of the seriousness of the matter. Satan strives to sow discord among loved ones, and one should thwart his attempts and strive for reconciliation within the family. Spreading your news and divulging your secrets are among the greatest transgressions, and those who commit them must be advised to repent to Allah. Care must be taken to show dutifulness to parents, and do not let any mistreatment from either of them lead you to fail in showing them dutifulness.
